“La Creation” - The Project
The Show
“La Creation” choreographed by Marie Lamaison with scenery and costumes designed by Michel Terrasse.
The show has already been successfully staged in Fontainebleau on 10th & 11th December, 2005 – (photographs and DVD available).
A high quality ballet for non professional children / young adults of The Sylvaine School of Dance (160 participants aged 4 to 25 years).
Two performances on 30th June and 1st July, 2007 at the Bloomsbury Theatre, London WC1 (530 seats).
Tickets will be sold to families and friends.
The Spirit
An artists’ production. Unique costumes, setting and music created by renowned artists presented on a grand scale in a series of magnificently colourful scenes depicting the seven days of God’s creation of the world.
Professionalism
Managed by fully trained ballet teachers with high performance standards dedicated to the project . They will train the children over the year.
For Children
A unique opportunity for 160 children and their families to be part of a major stage production, a once in a lifetime experience.
Multi-cultural
The children participating attend London based French and English schools.
Organisation
Ballet preparation. During ballet classes over the year with final rehearsals at the Bloomsbury Theatre on 28th and 29th June, 2007 supervised by Blandine Lamaison, principal of The Sylvaine School of Dance.
Set-up/coordination: teachers and parents.
Cost: £50,000 including theatre, staff, costumes, scenery.
Financing:
Tickets sales, families’ participation contribution, donations and corporate sponsorship.
